It Didn’t Feel Lucky At First.

Start here.

Hi, if you’re here maybe something didn’t go the way you imagined.

Maybe you heard the words “Trisomy21” or “Down Syndrome” and your heart dropped.

Body broke in half.

Mine did too.

It didn’t start out feeling lucky…

It felt unknown.

It felt heavy.

It felt like the life I pictured had shattered in a split second.

But I stayed.

Piece by piece, one step at a time.

I let myself grieve.

I let myself learn.

I let the hard be hard.

And somewhere between therapy sessions, advocacy meetings, all the research, and late nights when I reflected on everything… something changed.

It became lucky.

Not because it was easy.

Not because it was wrapped in inspiration.

But because there’s something beautiful that happens when you find gratitude in something that once scared you.

Lucky wasn’t given.

It was grown.

It was worked for.

It was wrestled into meaning.

This space is for the real story — the work behind the magic. The days when you don’t feel strong. The moments that we feel scared and sacred. The truth that both can exist at once.

Hard can become holy.

Not because we deny it.

But because we stay long enough to see what it’s shaping.

If you’re new here, you don’t have to feel lucky yet.

You just have to stay.

There’s a unique opportunity on the other side of the unknown.

Welcome to the crew, you’re not alone in this.
